Agan Harahap started his career as a painter and illustrator when he was studying in STDI Bandung, majoring in graphic design. After graduating in 200, he moved to Jakarta and worked as a photographer and digital imaging artist in music magazine called Trax. In 2008, he became one of the finalists in the Indonesian Art Award. His first solo exhibition was held in room 56 MES Yogyakarta. After that he began to participate in several art exhibitions in Southeast Asia, North Korea, Japan, Portugal, Colombia and Australia. His works combines narrative fiction and facts through a satirical parody of human life. His works are distributed massively by users of the internet, social media and online forums. The works are reaping a lot of debate about the reality and authenticity of the users, the corporate media, photographers, to the important figures who appear in the photos. This issue has been a concern in observing the effect of cyber culture in real life. He lives and works in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
