“Inadvertent Facelessness” are the subjects of Arti Gidwani’s series. From faceless forms to life size figures, humans Arti’s artworks were created to convey the concept that facelessness is an unfortunate truth of humanity. There have been many research studies that show in a world of 7 billion faces, the average person can recognize more than a few hundred without prompting. With social media and the overload of images in our news feed, we are expanding our number of acquaintances but with little or no inter-action.
