KIAT ARCHITECTS, was established in Jakarta, Indonesia in January 1987. The founders began their education and employment in Indonesia, USA and Australia. Specializing in residential architecture and hotels, KIAT ARCHITECTS has an extensive portfolio spanning almost 30 years. The firm has been awarded various awards, the latest being the IAI Jakarta Awards (2015) for Hermitage Hotel in Menteng, Jakarta. Projects by KIAT ARCHITECTS are found all across Indonesia as well as overseas (Malaysia, Singapore, Australia and Timor Leste).

A pioneer in residences in Indonesia-the Swedish, Singaporean, Ecuadorian, American (for ASEAN), Malaysian, Greek, German, Belgian, French, Mexican, Canadian, and United Arab Emirati, to name a few. KIAT ARCHITECTS has produced countless designs on high-end residential structures around Menteng and Kebayoran Baru, in Jakarta.

With an equally impressive portfolio of hotels in Jakarta, Bali and all over Indonesia, KIAT ARCHITECTS has continuously been sough after by hoteliers. Apart from residential and hotels, KIAT has also produced numerious designs of commercial architecture in Jakarta-Hospitals, schools, office buildings and shopping centres.

Founder

Jasin Tedjasukmana was born in Cirebon, West Java, Indonesia. Upon completing his architecture degree in 1977 from Parahyangan University in Bandung, he immediately began practicing as an architect for James Ferrie & Partners - an English firm in Jakarta with head office in Singapore.

Between 1978 - 1983, he spent his spare time lecturing at the architecture faculty of Tarumanegara University, Jakarta. 1978 was then the year Jasin officially became a member of IAI (Ikatan Arsitek Indonesia). With this decade-long experience, Jasin founded KIAT ARCHITECTS in 1987. With a team of 40 people, KIAT has built an impressive portfolio of work in residential and hotels around Indonesia and throughout the region such as Singapore, Malaysia and Australia.

1980 - 1st Prize - Redevelopment of Central District of Pasar Baru, Jakarta
1989 - Aga Khan Award - Architecture of Citra Niaga of Samarinda
2006 - Legrand's Award for Excellent Lighting Design for Daksa Residence
2015 - IAI Jakarta Award - Designer of Menteng Heritage
