Starting in 2011, Joe Willendra has established his design firm, W.Office, with the purpose of architecture and design exploration. The firm is engaged with projects of various scales in Indonesia and United States; working with independent clients as well as major corporations. Current projects include a free-standing hotel tower in Jakarta, a mixed-use food and lifestyle complex in Tangerang and two resort hotels in Belitong Island. The work and art projects of the firm have also been exhibited in a number of exhibitions and galleries in Indonesia.

We view each project as a problem-solving scenario with peculiar design aesthetics and this is why we continually evolve our design strategy through working with various projects and clients. Joe Willendra is an architect and principal of W-Office in Jakarta, Indonesia. He studied at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee for his Bachelor degree and University of California-Los Angeles for Master of Architecture in 2004 where he graduated with distinguished award. After graduate studies, he worked at Neil M. Denari Architects in Los Angeles for six years as a project manager and handled award-winning projects such as the Alan-Voo House, series of MUFG Banks in Japan, Master Planning in Weifang City, China and many others. His works with NMDA has been published worldwide in architecture books, design magazines and newspapers.
Joe Willendra has also had a teaching career in University of Pelita Harapan, architecture jury in University of Tarumanegara and continues to contribute to the education of young architects through various design competitions and programs.
